Nutraceuticals Europe – Summit & Expo closes 6th edition having notched up 26% growth

The foremost event for the nutraceuticals sector, organized by Feria Valencia and staged at the Barcelona International Convention Centre – CCBI, has just closed, on a note of huge success and a 26% surge in visitor numbers.

Nutraceuticals Europe – Summit & Expo is growing and the 2022 edition, the sixth, has been a great success. 26% more industry professionals visited what is Spain’s foremost international fair for functional ingredients, novel foods and finished products.

Organized by Feria Valencia and taking place at the Barcelona International Convention Centre – CCBI, the fair hosted around a hundred-leading edge nutraceuticals companies, which have claimed to be “very satisfied” with the results of this latest edition.

Over the two days the fair was open, thousands of visitors had the opportunity to see the latest advances in pre-biotic technology and supplements made from natural ingredients, amongst many other innovations. As well as the broad range of products and services on show, there were also a number of lectures and round tables to attend, with topics covering trends and innovations in the field of nutrition and health.

“We are very pleased with the result of this sixth edition of Nutraceuticals Europe – Summit & Expo”, declared Esther Cano, the fair’s director. “The 26% increase in the number of visitors attending proves just how relevant and significant the industry is right now, as well as how important the event is as a meeting point and networking facility for professionals from all over the world”.

‘Seminar Theatre’, sharing knowledge

This year’s Nutraceuticals Seminar Theatre featured eminent speakers. Experts in nutrition, researchers and industry professionals addressed issues such as innovation in nutraceutical ingredients, the new areas that research is focusing on and the development of nutritional products, as well as the trends in the health and wellbeing market.

The programme for the ‘Seminar Theatre’ was extensive, featuring the latest innovations and research from the industry, presented by the most cutting edge companies. Gnosis, Vaneeghen, Fruitex-B®, Givaudan, Labinderb, Greenfield, Pharmafood… These are just some of the companies that showed their latest innovations: from the applications of vitamin K2 for improving bone and cardiovascular health to essential oils for modulating the intestinal microbiome and managing chronic diseases, and the biotechnology platform developed by Innobio as part of its focus on dipeptide and environmental sustainability.
