NUTRACEUTICALS Europe, the international event of functional ingredients and novel ingredients that will be celebrated in Madrid since 22nd until 23rd of February 2017, presents its first meeting of its Advisory Committee.

The Congress will structure its scientific content transversely, to capture the interest of professionals from different industries.

Nutraceuticals Europe has the support of the most important entities of the sector in the following areas: institutional, technological and business.

The Scientist Congress will last two days and will be celebrated in parallel to the Nutraceuticals Europe exhibition.

The first Advisory Committee meeting of Nutraceuticals Europe took place the last 24th of May in the premises of the Spanish Ministry of Economy with the presence of the following personalities.

The participation of the three Ministries related with the sector, the presence of most important Technological Platforms, and the support of the Business Associations from different industrial sectors endorse the interest of the event and guarantee the accuracy in the content selection process.

Great Transversality

In order to attract the interest of the greatest number of delegates, the Advisory Committee decided unanimously a transverse structure of contents. This means that the papers will be tackled from the perspective of the different functional ingredients, bringing knowledge to professionals of all industrial sectors, since the Nutrition and Dietary, to the Pharmaceutical Industry, to the Nutricosmetic.

Some of the topics identified by the Advisory Committee as likely to have space in the different papers are: “Botanists: super algae and super fungi”, “Polyphenols and probiotics”, “Novel ingredients and nanomaterials”, “Carotenoids and their applications in functional foods”.

In the same way, the Congress also will dedicate a significant space for development of sectoral regulation and legislation in Europe, as well as a block to analyze the evolution of the sector in different international markets.

It is necessary to emphasize the interest of the Committee to enrich the content of the Congress with the perception that consumers have about the nutraceuticals products, engine of the evolution industry as well as the legislative regulation.

Great diffusion of the event

As a result of the interest by the theme of the Congress between the different groups, the Advisory Committee meeting also served to confirm the impulse in the communication that the members of the Committee will give to the Congress.

The different technological platforms as the federations and associations involved in the project will inform to its associates/members in Spain about the content of the Congress and in the same way, the members of the Committee will also disseminate the contents of the scientific program to the European organizations with which they share forums of debate in the European Union.
